Q'eswachaka is the last remaining Inca rope bridge that is renewed annually, a legacy of the Qhapaq Ñan road system. Located over the Apurímac River at 3700 meters above sea level, this bridge made of vegetable fibers is rebuilt each year by four communities, keeping alive a tradition of more than 500 years. Recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013, crossing the Q'eswachaka is an experience that connects the Inca past with the present.
